I went to look at a rebuilt K341 to replace the blown engine in my snapper 1650 and there are no mounting flanges on the block. Are there different versions of the k341? or am i missing something obvious?

thanks!

The differences are usually in the oil pans. Not ever owning M/F, I can't tell you which one you need.

You can swap the oil pan from your blown engine to the rebuilt one if need be.

I ran into the same issue with my mf16. I thought I could use a k341 from a cub, or at least swap the pan like others have suggested....the oil pans bolted to the block completely different. Long story short I had to rebuild the massey engine.

I have bought 2 rebuild kits for the K341, they come with 2 different oil pan gaskets in each kit, looks like the bottom of the blocks come in 2 different styles.

Here's a thread that I started over a year ago on the differences in the Kohler blocks. If you have a photo of the M/F block were the pan bolts on, post it there please.
