Another thing I have noticed is the front spindles are different. Will try to get a picture at some point today. JBI has an extra arm (to mount the steering rod too) welded on the drivers side and has "stop" welded on the arms as well.....JBII does not have either of these.

Scott, I got some photos of that area. The JB II use a whole different geometry set up for steering then the JB I does.

Here's the photos of the Parking brake setup.

JB II uses a rod that comes thru the seat support to set the brake

JB I Uses a cable (missing on mine) to operate the P brake from the tool box mounted over that same side fender.

I think they used the same front axle beam, just reversed it on the JB II. You can see that the stops are on the back of the axle on the JB II and in front and trimmed off on the JB I.

It has been brought to my attention the way the steering box is mounted/setup is different. My picture has the left side cover off, but yours Brian looks more like a box around the gear box than mine. Also note my decals are not located the same place as yours ImageUploadedByTapatalk1387507855.173690.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1387507892.546483.jpg

Brian my gear box does not look like this......that may be why the different mounting setups. Anyone with JB's might want to see what theirs looks like and let us know. Be interesting to see when this change was made....may help date your JB1 if it is like your JBII.

There are two tractors on the BH yahoo group forum that have the same steering gear setup as mine, but I could not find where the serial numbers were listed for them. Also need to look at the front pto set ups. Jack and I both noticed their is some differences there as well.

OK guys, I'm having trouble figuring this out. Both JB's frames measure right at 72". In the manuals section there are 3 different files showing the the JB-I is overall 86" and the JB- II is 76" overall. I can see about 5" in the front axle and tire sizes, but unless BH was measuring the 3pt hitches also, my machines don't add up to these numbers.

Here's one of the files I got this info from.

I can't help as I don't have the PTO jack shafts for either one of my JB's
