Nice looking machine!
I am shocked to see someone else actually paint it in the proper colors!
They did a decent job

'New to me'? That looks like it could classified as 'new to anyone'. Someone did a very nice restoration on that.

Lets not get carried away here .... There are a few spots that didnt get painted and they used the old decals.
I would say a good "Refurbish" not a "Restore"

Looks are deceiving.. The po. just did a make-over.. Just sprayed it with everything in place.. If it were me,, I would have it completely torn it apart to spray it.. I think PO.. just used Rustolium ,,Almond.. Has a tinge of yellow that I don't like..
Thanks ALL Good candidate for a life time of use.

Very nice! In my opinion the best looking Bolens produced. That is a great looking 1556. Looks like you got a snowblower too? Any other goodies with it?

I bought some of that paint but haven't used any yet. Need to set up a blasting cabinet. Do you have another paint brand/color you know of that's a closer match?
I did .... It was a Valspar ( I think ) sand pebble gloss.. I bought it at Lowes years ago.. Perfect match for my LG frame.. They quit selling it as Rustolium became their main brand.. I did a reserch on it and it was discontinued about 3 yrs ago...
