Finally got it home. Got some kind of drive line problem. It roles then locks up and if you roll it backwards it roles again. Bearing maybe? Any way it starts and runs. hydraulics work good. Has a full 3pt hitch. Came with the mower deck, blade, 3pt disk and 3pt cultivators.

Sounds most like a broken gear tooth.  Could be a broken shift fork, allowing a gear to engage at will.  Could be a bearing.  Hope it's a cheap fix.

My vote is its a $8 dollar bearing and super easy to get to.

Maybe you could put it in neutral then jack the rear wheels one at a time and spin it , might give you and idea if it's the bull gear

Take plenty of pictures and keep us posted. We are all curious as to what caused the  problem and the repair.
