Thsi tractor has been on Cincy CL for close to a year. Started out early last spring, same pics, same ad for $250 or 300. Then over the summer, ad popped back up for over $500. now it's back down to 250 and he still hasn't sold it.

I keep wondering what  "Will run if worked on" consists of??

I have been getting so disgusted with CL lately. I inquired about a Bolens 1250 a few weeks ago & the guy failed to put in the add it had no engine but he still wanted $350. I have some stuff up on CL & several people want it & actually tell me their coming & never show up. It's so bad I'm keeping a record of who has called before so I don't respond. That's not to mention the scams they want you to believe. Then you got folks like this guy can't make up his mind or when you call the person they ask what add did you see it in.  :shoot2:

Jim, I have had same problem on a bunch of stuff I've been tying to sell, most have been super low ball offers.

Jim, I've seen the same thing here locally. 75% spam, 20% folks bored and want to talk to someone new on the phone, 4% tire kickers who want to spend an evening running their mouths and driving somebody else's tractor they can't afford, .5% sincerely interested but sincerely broke, and .5% who are interested with a check book.

Okay, maybe its not that bad.  :D

Its part of what you live with to sell something listing for free online.

People are inconsiderate.Last nov I inquired about a MF10 that was listed on craigslist. They were asking $150 for the tractor.I called on a sat night went and looked at it sun and came home w/it.When I was looking at it the owner was my age and we were talking and he said you would not believe the amount of people that contacted him to look at the tractor and not show up.Then on sat he said he had 3 people look at it and said they were going to get the money and be back. They never came back.He said 1 guy offered him $50 for it.He of corse turned him down and the guy got furious. The 10 had brand new tubes and tires on the front.Plus the tractor runs great and operates nicely. He said he was happy when I showed up to look at the tractor w/a trailer behind my truck.I told him the night before I would probably take it if it was as described. He of course said he  was thinking o.k. here we go again another no show.
