This is my brother and me. He murdered my father in 86 so I'm guessing this picture was around 82. I assume there were a couple gts floating around. The police paperwork showed him to have a wheelhorse as well. The pictures suck but it almost reminds me of a Sears.

Well I was expecting this thread to start off like that. Sorry to hear about your dad.

Looks like you've had the GT sickness for quite a few years now.

It's ok. It was along time ago. This must have been his because if it was my father's I would have gotten it. My dad(step dad) and father had a decent relationship and when my father died my dad(this seems confusing lol) saved every nut and bolt from his shops and barns. The only tractors I remember my father having were a poppin John and a old farmall.

I wonder if I could find this same model. It would be cool riding on the same thing as the first one I ever rode.

They made the 725 from 63 thru 65 I believe. You can find them from time to time.

They had another model that had that same hood just before the 725, can't remember the number.

The thing that gets me is it must've been repowered. The exhaust went out the front on the OEM engine.

My father was a tinkerer like myself. So it could have had any number of engines.

Hey mom I know it was 30 years ago when you took this picture but do you happen to remember what engine it had? Lol

Man, sorry to hear about your dad.

Looks like a 64 or 65 DB 600. Most of the 725's had enclosures around lower dash, the 600's were open.

Exhaust may have been re-routed out the side, my 725 is like that, someone swapped on a tube type muffler out that same side.
