Today I bought a used Honda Foreman 4 wheeler, it's a 2000 model, 400cc, full time 4x4 with 2,500 miles and 415 hours on it. The fairings are nearly perfect, paint is fair, tires are 35-40%, (I got two sets, both on rims) and it has a pretty heavy winch on it.

I plan on adding a Warn 424 kit to it. I am re-doing an antique phonograph for someone, and the profit from that should cover most of the Warn kit.

Runs like a top, (Honda) and shifts smooth. 2000 is old enough that it still has the clutchless 5 speed, not the ES.

I had cash in hand from selling my Jacobsen roughly 20 hours before this deal landed in my lap. Someone needs to remind my wife my job is to provide food and shelter, not necessarily keep Her Highness 100% happy. Because she's not. The girls are ecstatic, though.

Good looking bike. They don't make a warn 424 kit anymore so you may have a hard time finding one. Ebay will be your best choice.

My buddy has an 04 450s good bike.

I'm rocking a 2013 rancher 420 es 4x4 and my wife runs a 2012 recon.

Also have a Polaris scrambler 500 424 with a blown front axle u joint. It's down for repairs.

I do believe my Bolens will drag that around the yard, the street, or where ever it darn well pleases.

Let's get a YouTube video of that, though, for evidence.

Those are good machines. You'll be happy. I have a 98 (I think)

Works flawlessly.

What is a Warn 424 kit?

Cat, that's a good looking 400 you got there. I know you know this but you want to be careful winding the winch up hooked to the rack like that. My buddy next door almost tore his rack off hooking his there.

It's a replacement front driveshaft that can be kicked out, giving you 2wd.

If you happen to find a source, please let me know. Most of the time I just don't need 4W, and

the bigarse aggressive mudders I have on there tear up the ground badly.

Is that a  simple conversion?

Ours is a 2004 model with kickout 4WD, but otherwise the same machine.  Can't beat these machines!  All we've done to ours is brake components, filters & such, plus a cable or 2, and we've had it since brand new.  Ours isn't as pretty as yours, but it works every day for a living in not so nice conditions.  I need to check how many hours/miles.   Okay, just went to check.  2331 miles, hours hard to read from chemical spray eating the face.
