Lower half of Flo - Jet 2 piece carb. Looking for three (3)  for three engines I have that needs carbs. These are for B&S 326431 engines. Don't have to be clean just need to be rebuildable with good threads for the high speed jet ( emulsion tube). Have tried ebay and CL and all the local ( within 60miles) small engine places with out any luck. Don't need whole carb just the lower half.  Thanks. Roger.

Hi roger
I was able to find new lower halfs with manual choke online they run about 40 to 50 bucks. I recently got a new flo jet #295857 online for not much more. All the used ones i saw at swap meets and on ebay they seemed really overpriced for a few bucks more i went new

295860 and 299170 are for the L shaped 3 bolt, Roger is looking for a 4 bolt U shaped.  I didn't realize that the 3 bolt lower halves were on eBay, though, thanks for posting!

Those daggone threads strip too easy.  If you wanted stripped lower halves, I could send you a boxful.  :wallbanging:

Roger, I have one complete good salvage carburetor that I would get rid of.

Part number 391069 is what you want:

You can get a complete carb new for $100 on eBay, so don't spend too much.

I can check my salvage guys if you want.  They might have something for you.

FWIW, I can get the same 391069 for $55 from my distributor, new from Briggs.

Salvage would be probably around $30, and I would consider spending the extra $20 to guarantee that the nozzle seals.  OId ones warp over time.

Thanks guys. Being on a limited budget I was hoping to get some salvaged ones to clean and put back together for these engines. The ones on ebay for $50 look good. If I can't find some old ones I will have to break down and buy them. I need to get these old GTs running next spring. Thanks again. Roger.

The problem with salvage is that anyone who has one knows that the problem these carburetors always have is those stripped threads.  They know they have the key to fixing your machine.

Its aggravating.
