The front tires won't stay up. so I broke them down and cleaned up the beads and seats. While I had them apart I cleaned up the front rims to see how they look. I think they will be good enough for an all original D4-10. I may have to tube one of them as the bead is in pretty rough shape.

Here is a photo of one of them.

Anymore, on old rims, I avoid the leaky bead issue & go straight to tubes.  The cost of tubes has gone up, but my time to keep breaking down tires is worth more.

Same with me. I'll try one time to seal a bead. If that doesn't work, I tube it!

Started cleaning up all the tin work on the D4-10 a few days ago when I started cleaning the rims up. Tonight while resting after another very hot day at work. I brought the rear fenders inside and washed them and rubbed them out with rubbing and then polishing compound. I want to clear coat them after I get all the tins ready. Here's some photos for Y'all to look at.

This is my sample test.

Before and after 1 fender.

1 done and 1 to go.

Another view.

Brian not sure you can bring that paint back to life. Just as well bring that tractor to PA and sell it to me for parts. :-). Man that paint looks really good! I am jealous!

When you reassembled the bell housing halves how much movement and tension is on the clutch lever? Should I be able to pull lever by hand and turn drive shaft without rotating engine?
