Thanks Daniel, we do have a couple places that can do that. Do you think it will hurt the gt by doing touch ups on it?

I would try it first in less obvious spots to see exactly how it will look.  If it blends well, I'd go ahead with the rest.  Just get some good small brushes made for this type thing.  As with hand tools, the right tool is everything.

Touching up shouldn't hurt it's worth, as she'll still be original in my book.  Besides, it'll not matter to you either way when it sells, as that'll be after you're 6 foot under anyway!  :D

Got #8495 into the shop and pulled the Kohler and clutch assembly out the frame so I can get the off for this tractor. I also have both of the engines home to see if I can build one out of the 2. Not too bad of a job, I had the the hood, hood support and the engine out in about 30 minutes.

Your making good progress and I bet the forklift makes it real easy lifting heavy stuff. I'll be watching to see when you get the tractor back together. When I need to lift something heavy here most of the time Ray and I have to lift it by hand or I sometimes get lucky and can borrow the Case 580 backhoe from work.

Matt, You need a loader on one of those Cubs you have in the shed, they would do all you need to do!!

Brian, so the D4-10's had either a Kohler or a Wisconsin in them?

No Chris, they had the TR10-D, TRA10-D Wisconsins or the HH-100 Tecumseh. Never had a Kohler was someones re-power,

Man, that N.Tex Hog is in great shape. Congrats on a great find Brian.

I couldn't figure out how I missed this thread, but just realized, I was

on the road in PA that day.

Looking forward to seeing N.Tex back on her feet all shined up.

Believe it or not Ray has a loader for a cub. It's just been taken apart for the past two years since he was going to repaint it lol
