Here is a Mighty-Mac chipper/shredder for mounting on the rear of an Allis Chalmers B series garden tractor. The "U" shaped bracket for mounting to the hitch and the upper rod bracket for sliding into the rear lift arm are included. The unit turns as it should but could use a good greasing. I never had this unit mounted, and was going to convert it to fit a John Deere round fender, but I don't have the time to do it. There wasn't a belt or belt guard with this when I bought it, but I don't believe it would be hard to fabricate a guard or to find the right belt.

I'm selling this unit for $150.00. There won't be any shipping for this item, as it is rather heavy. This unit will need to be picked up at my residence in Lititz (Lancaster County) Pennsylvania. I will accept Cash or a US Postal Money Order as payment. No paypal or personal checks! If a friend or fellow member will be picking this up for you, payment must be received before the item leaves my residence. Please, no offers. I think my pricing is fair.

If you are interested in this item, have questions, or need additional pictures, please send me a Personal Message and I will give you my contact information and help you anyway I can.

If it was closer, I would jump on it. I have been looking for a stand alone unit, but this would be ideal! would fit on one of my machines. oh well. stuff is usually too far from Illinois.

At the price he's asking, one of you guys could have it shipped, and even with the shipping cost it would be a good deal.

If elf, has a Fastenall store nearby, and you do to, they will ship at a very good rate:

I have a Fastenal Store in the next town over. I could strap this to a skid and drop it off for you but you need to make all of the arrangements from there. The town location is 5seven Doe Run Road, Manheim, PA 17five4five. If you need the phone number, it's (717)six six five-1 seven 6 nine.

I just wanted to pass along a good option for you folks.

That bracket looks like a front mount bracket, and brackets are still available from the factory for most any Garden Tractor (but $$$), and they are easy to make.  Manuals with details are free downloads from Mighty-Mac.  The company and people there are really great and very customer friendly.  That model is especially nice because the chute and body is a little lower than most, some models also had a 2" branch chipper built in, on the other side - but even as is, it can easily cutup a 3/4" branch.  Here's a photo of mine, and I think the vast majority of the smaller Garden Tractor ones from Mighty-Mac are front mounts and the larger tractors were rear.

You are asking a very fair price for it, I paid $350 used, they are about $2,000 new today; all parts are very heavy-duty and still available, 10 different screens available.  Someone will be getting a really great deal, wished you were closer,

That looks like a simplicity rear mount to me.. I have a wheel horse front mount Mighty Mac. And I have four Simplicity tractors. My Mighty Mac has a rusted out drum. I wonder if I could get a new one from Micassick? I thought it was too old for the factory to have parts for.

The one pictured does look like it will fit Simplicity/Allis, but interestingly, is not the Mac-OEM hitch I've seen for them.  I've seen 3 or 4 homebrew hitches for adapating them...not sure if this is something like that or not.  It's an early shredder, so perhaps the hitch pre-dates the literature and units I have seen.   Looks to be in super shape.  The unit is the 'Shredder-Grinder' (model 9-S), ship weight would be a tad under 125#.  $150 is a very fair price.  They came with a PTO/pulley setup, but I used my previous shredder without it, and had no issue at all.  If a buyer wants any info/dimensions on that assembly, shoot me a message as I have all that info now.

MacKissic did not have any GT adapatable components when I inquired with them last year for these units.  All other parts were available, and I picked up a smaller screen for mine, as wall as sprayer components.   As mentioned, super folks to work with.
