Overnight, our Bell 4ghz Turbo Hub internet connection racked

up 13 GB of data transfer all on it's own. We found this out when

the Bell system sent us a form to click, verifying that we are aware

that we exceeded our plans allowance and that we would be charged

$0.015 per MB for the next 3 weeks.

WELL, no way.....

Mrs. got on the phone with them, and they also thought that was impossible

and would look into it. Call us later they said. We did.

Turns out that Bell is firing up an upgrade to their entire system. Cell phones

included. That is to take place in about a month, but they have been running some tests.

That "Over plan usage" notification was an error. They fixed it, and said carry on.

Keep a close eye on your Bell Canada bills guys.

That's pretty poor practice. They could end up nailing a lot of people with extra data charges and how would you know if it wasn't so obviously large like your situation. If it was 10% more data I'll bet a lot of people would not question it. They need close scrutiny and more regulation if you ask me.

You're 100% right. And that's exactly what they are counting on. Them and Rogers are crooks.

They need competition. And every time someone big from south of the border tries, these two

start crying like little school girls until the Gov (that's in their pockets) says no.
