2 Tractors That Didnt Come Home With Me

hi guys what are these two tractors? the first 3 pics are of a toro i think ,not sure, owner does not know, briggs and stratton powered. the last 3 pics are of a wheel horse, very heavy, probably 40 lbs front grill, very large back tires serial #43774 seat pan looks like a case style, they are on hold for me if i want them as i have bought 6 gts from him and should i buy them or sell them to one of you , ha ha ha!!!!!!

The first tractor is a Burns or Gilson tractor ( they were sold under a few names) i love the wide low look of those tractors. It most likely has a cast iron Peerless 4 speed transaxle. The second tractor is a 1963 953 or 1964 1054 Wheel Horse tractor. The are a great tractor also.

Those WH 953 and 1054 models are big. My understanding is they are the precursor to the GT14 model. I really like the round headlights on those models.... wish the GT14 had kept those headlights.

i am always amazed at the knowledge of some of our gtt members and how helpful they are, a big thank you to all. i might add that when your wrong the responce can sometimes be faster, ha ha ha !!!!!

You're not kidding about the few names part.  I was at a show a few years ago where someone had five of these tractors lined up beside each other and all five were different brand names.  He claimed they were made by Moto-Mower but from what I've found, you're correct with Gilson.

I have also seen them badged as Penfield. I think Gilson may have bought out whoever owned them before. I also think that the chassis dates back to Springfield.
