Looks a bit wetter than Daniels. And the stalks seem to be an issue. But I bet it was still fun! Thanks, Doug!

In that second pic that Doug posted, it looks like OB is debating on whether to send in ground troops or call in an airstrike against the cornstalks.

Thanks Doug, I didnt realize you had gotten that.
The first one, you can hear my belt slipping... I was in 5th gear trying to not spin. The last one I went to 4th.

The only reason I didnt pop up the front was I started shifting forward in the seat... I need to go on a diet... :D

Now that you mention it, a bit of Napalm to take care of those stalks might not have ben a bad idea :rocker2:

I was thinking that having a pitch fork on each tractor might not have been a bad idea either.

OH,  back to the pulling....

I think there was a 'plot' going on.  :D

If you note while watching the video, a 'full pull' was only about 10 feet or so.

Well now, I was the last to enter, so when I finished they had to add weight.

For the last 5 rounds or so, the sled would end up at the opposite end of the pulling area from the where the weights were laying.

The weights were in the 100 lb. range, and the guys working the sled asked me if I could/would pull the sled all the way back to where the weights were laying so that they wouldn't have to carry the weights the length of the track.

Being the agreeable sort of guy I am, I said "Sure", which meant that instead to the 10-15' the other guys were pulling, I was going from where ever the next to last guy stopped to the opposite end of the track.

It was fun to finally put enough load on that Mitsubishi diesel and hear it under a good load.  I was kinda hoping for some black smoke, but I don't think that happened.  I was too busy watching the rear tires for slippage to notice.  Guess I'll have to find someone that knows how to 'turn up' one of those rascals :D :D :D

Your engine has lived a happy life so far, why mess with it?

If you want to see a Mitsu diesel powered Bolens blow some black smoke, look for my post snowblowing with my G152.

OH, thought I'd mention...

We are still here in the Wally World parking lot in Butler, and the HSM Rainmaker has done her duty, as the rain is falling from the sky :D :D :D

I think you parked the HMS Rainmaker a little too close to WV again, because it seems to be effective for quite a distance. Lol

I do have to make a Plow day related post here real quick. Even though I did not bring any tractors, I did have an enjoyable time meeting up with every and shooting the breeze. I did not notice Will was going to cut out right after lunch, or shortly after my fashionable arrival. Would have enjoyed meeting more of him after my mind converted back to a solid from the mush I had arrived with lol. As for others, I am sure I missed a bunch of the morning shift, but next year I will make an effort to be an early arrival. Glad everyone made it out there, as the weather was good. The plowing was fun to watch though, was definitely less work that way lol. Thanks
