This guy dropped it off in August. I talked to him in September but haven't been able to get a hold of him since. Something happened and melted most of the wiring. I replaced the bad starter and did some bypassing today. I've never been on one of these and I must say it's a smooth driving gt. I drove it around for a hour or so. I'll guess I'll go a head and fix it. If he calls it will be ready if not I'll have a new mowing machine.

I need to fix the cracked hoods and straighten the front end. It also needs rewired. It needs a complete service.

And people wonder why decks rust out or mowers catch fire.

I can't believe the shield bolts came out without breaking.

Those are not a common model and look like a nice machine. Liquid cooled and it also has a Sundstrand hydro. The newer ones have the K series Kanzaki Japanese made transaxles.

Seems like if the guy is MIA and hasn't contacted you in a year then he isn't too worried about it... I would get to the point that you can use it and do just that. If he has a problem with you using it then tell him that is the storage fee.... and to pay up for the parts. :smilewink:

I've got a 16' canoe that a guy lent me, I called and called trying to set up a time/way to get it back to him but never could get a hold of him... that was 5 years ago. Guess I'll use it till he needs it enough to call me back.

I can't find a schematic to save my life. I started the general electrical issues. Connectors, relays, switches, etc. Everything checked out fine. I replaced the ignition switch because it was a little corroded. The connector fell apart in my hand. Fixed the wiring and she fired up.

What is a similar model? Sometimes they make several models the same with only minor differences and they share a similar harness.

Just a thought.

That would be a good score if you end up with it.

I cleaned up a place for an elderly lady, city told her to get it cleaned up. I removed 2 old tillers, a Western auto walk behind a reall old Devere-Locke walk behind mower, some other odds/ends. Contacted her over a year ago, she said her son might want some of it. now it's covered up sitting next to barn not sure what I should do with it next, I have no need for it.

Did some research. Its a 93 model that I believe was sold to a local church. They had it served and some deck work done by a dealer in 2003. My dealer has a record of selling it used in feb 2010. The hour meter works and shows 604 hours. I believe it to be correct based on the condition of the machine. Next job is to straighten the frame.

That is a nice lawn mower, for sure. I need to find someone to give me a nice foot controlled hydro mowing machine to work on and then forget to ever come get it...
