Ross steering column upgrade kit.

Has anyone done this upgrade to a GT? Is it worth it? I will do this if the feedback is good.

Haven't tried one of the kits but this link might save you a few bucks if you decide to give it a try. http://kirkengines.c...eerUpgradeKit

Hmm... you'll have to scroll down the page as the link doesn't go directly to the part.

It reduces friction at that pivot in the ross gear by using a thrust bearing instead of a washer. How much it helps would depend on how good the rest of your steering system is.

I have the exact same setup that flea pay has. I will sell you one of them kits for 10$ plus shipping. Just send me a private message. I had 4 tractors to do so I bought the stuff in lots of 10 to make it cheaper on me. If you are interested let me know. I will say if the dog that rides in the steering gear is no good or the bearings or plates are no good you will not see much inprovement.
