Have to say,it went a little more than I thought it would, thought $2500.00 to $2800.00 would have bought it,just like rare hot rods, not many around price goes up,

The only ones I know of that were for export only were the HDT1000, and the HT22 which was a renamed HT20D.

They did sell other 'domestic' models overseas as well.

In the UK they were known as "Howard Bolens", as the importer, Howard Rotovators, put their name on them.

There's a pic of a "Howard Bolens" 1886 in this thread on a UK site that I found when looking for info on the HDT1000.

You mean for the HDT that was on eBay?

T'wern't me.  I did bid, and was going to bid 2300+, but just as I was going to click on it, it went to 3000, and then 3550.

The good thing though is that I did get the seller to print a copy of all the manuals :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:

He doesn't have a scanner so he had to have a copy place to it, and he's already sent it out.

All he asked for was copy cost and postage.  He said that was $17.00 and change.  I'm just going to send him a $20 bill and call it even.

Yeah, he seems like a pretty decent guy.

I'm going to see if he will have the buyer contact me as well.

I'd like to talk to him and compare notes.  I'm especially interested if his tractor has a serial number, and if so, where it's located as I can't find one anywhere on mine.

I haven't been able to get in touch with the guy with the yellow one, as he seems to have dropped off the face of the earth, and no longer posts over at ' the other forum'.

You don't have to go back that far.

Pulltilbroke bought one on Aug 1, 2011 for $1,500.00, and I got mine on Nov 4, 2012 for $1,000.00.

However, neither of those were on eBay, so that would have made a difference.  But still, $3,550.00? :loosing_it:
