Some time back I got a 'Cub 3 point hitch' for the 108. This fall, I gained the sleeve hitch for it. Now all I need is the 1" bar stock for the lift lever. I got the sleeve hitch painted the other day, just waiting for it to dry so I could get some pics. I do have all the hardware for installing this, just not in the pics.

Just have to get a piece of 1" bar stock, then it will be functional. I will need to install it, of course. :bigrofl:

Well Kenny, what are you waiting for.

Is the needed piece something you are going to make up yourself.

Dick

Yes, I'll make it up. Just need a chunk of bar stock. That may be the challenge!

Yes, Brian! Not sure how long yet!

That would be a great help! Total length to start!

Kenny heres a couple of pictures of lift pins I own .
One bar is 8 1/4 inches that I made and slides a little further into the cast piece , that's the only reason its a little longer than the 71/2 inch bar .
The 7 1/2 bar which I didn't make has a slotted hole , I don't know why unless it allows for float , most bars I've seen just have a round 1/2" hole .
Most people tack weld a washer onto the bar to keep it from sliding in to far and binding against the rearend which they will do if you don't weld a washer or drill the small cotter pin hole to hold them in place . The cast piece has a small hole for that cotter pin .
The washer also makes it easier in the future to line up the holes when reinstalling the bar .

The bar sticks out of the cast piece 3 5/8 inches and the 1/2" hole is 5/8 inch center of the hole from the end of the bar .

Hope this help ,
Jess

Kenny, does this mean that the 108 is your next project, or is it just one of the irons you have in the fire right now.

Just one of the irons, Brian! All I have for it is the 48" mower. With the sleeve hitch, I can find other things it can do. I love driving it, just don't get to do that too much.

Kenny , I made one glaring error in my measurements , the large hole in the end is 1/2 diameter hole not 5/8 ...

sorry for the mistake , I hope you haven't started it yet....LOL

The 1/2 hole is still 5/8 from the end of the bar , again sorry for the error .

Jess

I was thinking it was 1/2" as that is the size hole in the pieces that attach to it. Thanks for the help. I haven't gotten the 1" stock as yet, may be a bit before I can find some.

Kenny,
I'd look for an old trailer axel. That may be just the ticket.
