It is possible my daughter will need jawbone surgery. Her right side jaw is growing faster than her left, so if it doesn't stop, it may mean shortening her right jawbone. I dang sure hope that isn't needed, and not because of money. Surgery always scares me, even though medical technology does wondrous things.

Im sure she will be fine! surgery is scary but its just a matter of finding the right surgeon ! One you & your daughter feels comfortable with! I feel for you i know ive had several trips to that room but none as scary as the trips i made with two of my children! I would imagine given time she will be fine & will avoid needing anything such as surgery !

I certainly understand your apprehension Dan. I've had more than 20 surgeries over the course of my life, most earlier than I can remember, but probably five or six that I do. It was never a big deal when it was me, but two of my children have been under the knife and the youngest one twice. It's a scary and intimidating thing to leave them in hands of others, but if you trust the doctor, it takes a lot of the pressure off. I'm sure that she'll be fine and we'll keep her in our prayers just the same!

Ouch, surgery's not fun. Only one i had was tonsils, and that left me speakless for 2 weeks. Jaw sounds just as bad. Were all hoping it doesnt come to that.

Ahh, home coming, the prelude to prom.
