Just got back from the orthodontist. My daughter definitely needs braces, both top & bottom. Amazing what we parents are capable of NOT seeing. After he showed me her dental problems, it was quite apparent she needs alignment. So I am very glad we took her, and EXTREMELY glad we had some logging done. The entire braces deal, from start to finish, likely 2 1/2 years is going to run $4,724.00!!!!!!!!!! But she's worth it! But again, VERY glad we sold some logs, or it would kill us! Still not a walk in the park, but she needs it done & would have no matter our finances.

Well, speaking as somebody who keeps his teeth in cup overnight, it's worth it.

I know that everyone as parents always figure out a way to do what needs to be done for our children regardless of cost. Thank God she has you as a parent Daniel. Best of luck.

Braces are expensive. So far we have been lucky in the department. Thankfully your daughter has you and your wife as parents.

The other things that are super expensive are hearing aids which I am to the point of needing soon. They are about $3,600 a piece for the ones that are barely visible. Not looking forward to that bill.

I know what you mean.Just last month we got the same great news. Our Grandson needs them as well, however because he's still losing baby teeth they want to hold off for another 8-12 mths and will see what happens at that time.We didn't need orthodontist to tell us.He's got a pretty big overbite, and we notice it,maybe others don't but we do.Anyway yes its going to be a big expense but guess we'll have to just do what needs to be done. Dan, I feel your pain! My oldest had braces for 4 1/2 years as well as 2 oral surgeries (one at the beginning and one in the middle of the braces). You're right, our kids are worth every penny! Not only does he have straight teeth, but it taught him excellent oral hygiene (after caring for braces, brushing and flossing seem like no trouble at all according to my son)...so they're straight and white!

It's worth it Daniel, we went through the same thing with our oldest son. Lots of payments but nothing compares to the smile on your childs face. Lots of colors to choose from that helps make it a little more fun. I hope you don't live 60 miles away from the Orthodontist. When they break them it can be a pain.

I'm about 25 easy miles from the dental doc, so no real issue. It's our main shopping area too.
Bhts......retainer?.......Once they are aligned good, I'll just use JB Weld on the back side of her teeth! LOL
