Tried calling but line was busy.  Going to take Mom up around noon anyway, so I won't bother calling again.  Last night night the nurse called....kinda scared me, but she just needed to know what type of prescription eye drops Dad uses.  She said he was doing great then, but was tired from a lot of visitors.  Hopefully over the weekend he'll leave ICU for a more normal room.

Yes, any call from the hospital would have scared me to death. Glad to hear he is making progress everyday and visitors can take toll on them getting better.

If he is doing real good today (considering), then I may not go up tomorrow, as I milk morning & night, and day is kinda tight.  All depends on how he is doing of course.  Gonna go pick Mom up in half an hour.

It is good to hear he is doing well Daniel.  Hopefully he will be out of ICU soon and will be well on the road to recovery.

I'm sure if more of us were closer you wouldn't have to be worrying about doing all the chores.

Glad to hear he's coming along good.

Just got back.  They still haven't had him even sitting on the side of the bed (supposed to today), much less trying to walk, but he is doing fine.  I took his eye glasses to him, and when he saw his bag of stuff, he got excited because his rechargeable shaver was in there.  I gave him a shave, as he can't raise his arms easily due to all the IV lines.

He was glad to have a shave!  That alone means he's doing good.  If he was feeling very bad, he wouldn't have cared less about shaving.  Mom is pretty tired, so she said she'd stay home tomorrow.  That works better for me, as I milk morning & night tomorrow & Saturday, so I'm pretty busy.  I will go up Saturday regardless, but may get my oldest sister to take mom, as I'll have to be at a dead run.

Was great to see him improving every time I see him.  He was complaining there was nothing worth watching on TV!  :rolling:

That's great news Daniel!! He sounds just like my Dad when he had his operation. And you know they are recovering as soon as they start complaining about the TV LOL!

We'll keep him in our thoughts and prayers. ( and you also!)

It does sound as if he's getting better. Dad is the same way, if he's shaving, then he's feeling better.

Glad to hear it's going well. I've enjoyed speaking with him each time I've been down there, and we need old farmers like him to keep the memories of small farming alive. Thanks for the updates!

Glad to hear your Dad is doing well, he sounds like a tough guy and I'm sure this is only a minor setback.

You got that right, I don't milk cows anymore but I could if I was closer.

Prayers from Central PA Daniel!
