Wonderful news Daniel.  Isn't great how Mom & Dad are so attached!  My grandparents were like that, even though they fought like cats and dogs.  Thanks for the update and a wonderful story.

Daniel it's great to hear that daddy cowhand is on the mend. Just reading though the responses it's nice to see all the prayers and support offered by this great community. I'll add my 2 cents into the mix and wish your dad a speedy recovery.

Not to hijack anything in this thread but I felt it seemed the appropriate place to point out just why I feel so at home here, it's the people. This site seems to be chock full of some of the best, salt of the earth people that are walking the planet today. Even tho I've met almost none of you in person I feel like you're all extended family and seeing the outpouring of support for someone going through a hard time makes me proud to be counted among these ranks.
Daniel, great to hear that he's doing better! Prayers are continuing from my direction that the speedy recovery continues!

Great news to hear. My dad was never super affectionate with mom, it was good to see him later in life actually holding her hand or kissing her.
