Talk to your doctor. They might be able to give Mom something to settle her down. They do have things like that.

Plan to see what we can do there Chris.  But reckon they'll give me something too?  :smilewink:

Daniel, I just got caught up on this and I'm sorry to hear about Dad back in the Hospital. I know Y'all don't want to get in the middle of it, but you are going to have to separate them if your Dad is ever going to get better.

Hang in there, I know this is really weighing heavy on you.

Dad has had his realization.  He called me tonight to see if some of us could have a talk with mom.  He brought up the trailer idea also, so now that is a viable option since he is seeing things clearer.  At one point he was in tears.  This is ripping me apart, but I'm ok.

Glad to hear he is coming around, Daniel. Your Mom sounds a lot like my MIL, my FIL has taken to massive amounts of volunteer work to get out of the house since he retired. Hang on man, life will get better.

WOW DAN!! WOW!! Thank god for the cows... They must be your only break! Your mom sounds like the general there. As Chris said tell the doc !! Mom needs some happy pills
A dear Friend of the family died from a wife like your mom. He got cancer and was operated on and she never let up on him he used to hide from her at our place all day. I remember the phone calls... We laughed then but thinking of it now brings tears. I wish you the very best and your dad too.

Getting together early evening.  I have little faith we can do anything to convince mom of anything though.  Dad will likely go to my sister's house for a while, as she has bedrooms already furnished & ready, all on ground level.  Once he's in a safer place, then I'll work on finding a house trailer so he'll have his own place.  Then if he wants & can stand it, he can visit mom.  Just have to see how it goes.  Mentally I am shot, and the bad thing is, much more crap to deal with.

I'll keep praying Daniel, I completely understand the part about being mentally shot as I'm about there myself. All you can do is keep plugging along and hope things turn a corner soon. As others have suggested, maybe the doc could give your mom some happy pills (maybe you could sneak some too ;-) ) but either way it sounds like you guys are on the right track.

We will of course try to convince mom to go to the doc, but I can pretty much guarantee the only way she'll take a happy pill is if we force it down her throat.  She IS that hard to deal with.  Plugging along is about all I can do these days.  The force isn't with me anymore.

I think plugging along is about all most of us can manage these days.

Daniel, I really feel this is the only option Y'all have to get Dad back to good health. Good Luck!!

I think we all saw this day coming but it is never easy when it arrives.  I'm just glad Dad has realized it as well before he got in to bad of shape.
