Hang tough Daniel, you and your family remain in my thoughts daily.  You are doing a fantastic job, the occasional tears are just the stress leaking out.

If it helps, I'll confess.  When I grow up, I want to be just like you!

Was getting ready to call it a night, but Dad called & needs some dry clothes.  His urostomy bag leaked & the nursing home hasn't got his laundry back yet.  So I'm heading out.

No choice but to hang with it.  I'm not one to just give up, though at times I feel like it!  :smilewink:   Getting ready to hit the hay....and hit it hard.  Hope I can hear an alarm.  I forgot to set it last night & only woke up 10 minutes later than usual.  I think tomorrow morning REQUIRES an alarm though.

Dad was in good spirits, and walked just fine without any walker or anything to go drain his ostomy bag.  He just can't go too far at a time.

My sister who has MS is taking Mom & Dad out to "Cheddars" eatery at noon.  Dad is looking forward to it, but his neck is hurting this morning.  My sister usually can't walk 80% of the time due to the MS, but she's been walking great this last several days, even without her cane or walker!

Darn, my sister's back put her out of business today.  Her son, who is 40 years old & basically worthless is supposed to take Mom & Dad on out to eat, but he hasn't shown up yet, so we'll have to see if that happens at all or not. I would take them to eat, but I am absolutely covered up today.  Turns out Josh said his toilets & shower have been draining slowly too, so I have to have both septic tanks pumped out today.  Tons left on my stalls, and won't get it all done, but they will be in 200% better shape by end of day than they were. Sawdust will be the very end of the day, just before feeding silage.  Every muscle in me is sore from this repair, but I'll get it done.

Dad wanted to visit home today, which I don't blame him, as I'd have been bouncing off those walls before now.  My back is out, but made it there & got him home.  Fortunately, Mom called baumbaum's Dad, my BIL, and he will take Dad back to the rehab center this evening.  I have a full calendar the rest of the day.  My sister Elaine was supposed to been here this weekend to be with Mom, but she again cancelled.  She's my only sister without health problems, so it would have been nice if she'd have come.

I told Dad my back was out, so I'd be a bit slow getting there to pick him up.  He said for me not to worry about it, but NO WAY that I was going to leave him hanging.  He deserved a break from that place, and even more, to come home for a few hours.  With the little help we've been getting, it might get worse once Dad gets home, but who knows, he may do good.  But I don't think he can change the urostomy bag himself yet, so I'm sure he'll need my help with that.  Not sure if he'll still get some home health visits or not.  Stopped & got them some dinner on the way home. They requested McDonalds!  I almost made a deadly mistake (for me).....I forgot Mom's pair of apple pies!  I remembered just in time!  Whew!  That was close!

Hope he really enjoys his time at home.

The apple pies are about the only thing McAwfuls sells that I will eat.

When I want something that actually tastes like a hamburger, I go to my local greasy burger joint.  If it's past their hours, then it's Hardees or Burger King.
