Good Stuff Daniel.

Sounds like he's got his appetite back, that will make things a lot better.

This is all good news today Dan. Glad he didn't fight it.

I hope it'll be nothing but more good news from here on in.

1/2 an apple pie? I don't think I could do that.

I'm with ya Chris, I "might" stop at 1/2 the ENTIRE pie, but not 1/2 a piece of pie!

Good to hear, Daniel. You know, those UTI's are a real beggar and sap the strength right out of a fellow without even being suspected. I'll bet getting that treated is a good part of his comeback.

I have a 3pm appointment at Sunrise Nursing Home to get Dad's paperwork complete for his stay at their rehab center.  Dad hasn't been released from the hospital yet, and not sure if it will be today or tomorrow now, as the Dr hasn't signed his release for reasons unknown.  I called Dad's room, and the other patient said he'd been moved this morning, so I thought maybe he had been transferred to rehab.  Finally, after calling 2 different nurses stations, I found they had moved him to another room being they have less patients, so more could have a room to themselves.  His phone was across the room, so he had to get up & walk to answer it, and he got it by the 3rd ring, so that's a good sign.  He sounded good, and his nurse said he ate better this morning than he ever has.   :dancingbanana:

All the admissions paperwork for rehab is complete.  I don't think Dad will mind this place one bit.  He has activities if he wants, vending machines readily available for snacks, men's coffee clubs where they can hang out & more.  AND he can come home to visit most anytime, long as he's back before midnight.  Hoping he gets moved to rehab tomorrow.

Daniel, That sounds like a good place to get back on his firmly. I know you will be going back and forth to check on him and take him out for a couple hours every so often. He sounds like he is getting better!!

Man that place sound pretty good.  He might have a good time sitting talking to people around his age drinking coffee.  Shot I wouldn't mind that!
