Excellent news! I'm sure the immobility was as wearing on him as the extra workload was on you. How's your mother doing through this?

Mom's doing fine, EXCEPT that she tripped on Dad's extra step down box, but luckily my sister was right there & caught her before she hit the floor!  VERY close call!  Since Dad is doing good, I think it might be best the step box removed.

Well, he doesn't feel as good today.  Too much company/kids yesterday.  His urostomy bag sprung a leak this morning, so I had to shoot out there & get him cleaned up.  The home health will be there in a few minutes.  I came home to eat a late breakfast, and going back out now to talk with them & watch what they do.  Dad has still been wearing underwear which he puts on top of the bag....not good.  He also wears his bib overalls, and I told him he needs to only wear a good housecoat till he gets better.  He agreed.  I gotta go today & get him a good warm robe to use now & some boxer shorts so he'll have them when he gets better.  His only robe now is thin as paper.  He's still eating good though.

My dad was like that when he got bad, still had to have t shirt, sweatshirt, undies and pants, crazy old coot.

My mom on the other hand, stop to visit her Saturday morning and I got an eye full I didn't really want :(

Told her when we move in, she just can't walk around the house naked

your dad will adjust.

I'm glad to hear he's coming along Daniel. It sounds like there is lots of help coming in to keep him moving towards recovery.

While out to Dad's getting the cattle trailer, we were talking in general, then lunch discussion between Mom & Dad.  Dad mentioned how he was caught up on meatloaf & some other stuff.  So then I asked them when they would be ready for Chinese takeout.  Dad perked up & said...."anytime"! LOL   Since I'm going to take the cattle later this afternoon, I took their orders.  Not sure if I can fit it all in a couple of those takeout boxes!  :rolling:   Being it will be close to my suppertime, looks like I'll be forced to get Chinese as well!  :smilewink:   Dad is getting around pretty well!  No foot races, but he's using his walker with no problems at all.  Things are going well.

But I'll tell ya, trying to listen to 2 people always talking at the same time can give a fella a headache!   Remind me when I get older not to do that!  :D

I don't think I told you guys, when out to dad's yesterday or the day before, being Dad said they wouldn't need anyone staying the night now, I told Dad & Mom if he needed us to call ANYTIME, even if it's the middle of the night to call us immediately.....and I send Teresa right out!   :rolling:   Dad had a good laugh!

I take it she wasn't there when you said that! Denise would shoot me if I did that to her, and the parents near us are hers.
