Hang in there, Daniel. Those calves sound like Heath. I have no idea how he manages to get into some of the places he does.

My 2nd youngest sister came down from Louisville to spend tonight & the day tomorrow with Mom & Dad.  She called Teresa while I was milking & said Dad ate very good tonight!  Veggie soup, then peach cobber with ice cream!   :dancingbanana:  I'll be going out tomorrow.  Gotta get all the bills that need paid & see how he's doing.  Plus see if I can get their doorbell to work.

Reminds me of when I was a kid I got my head stuck in between 2 railings. My mom had to call the maintenance guy at the town house we were living in so he could unbolt the railings.

Glad to hear your dad is eating and getting his strength back

Went to town to pick up items for Dad.  He was feeling kinda rough this morning, but is feeling lots better this afternoon.  Very weak, but is normal at this point.

As long as he's eating, he's getting better. I know he has to feel better just being home.

Glad to see he is eating.  It's just going to take him time to regain his strength.

Daniel...............IF I NEVER see another hospital, it will be TOO SOON!  All of the stress of last week finally caught up with me today...........I spent most of the day ASLEEP on the couch.....lol

My sister staying with Dad last night called me by mistake while milking, but gave me a chance to check on Dad.  He's not feeling any better today, but I told her the Metformin they put Dad on can & usually does make you sick a few days.  It did me, and I was feeling fine before.  So that may be slowing his "feeling better" status.

Going out to check on Dad before starting afternoon chores.  My sister Angela, who is undergoing chemo for colon cancer is staying with him today.  I want to be sure he's emptying his urostomy bag regularly.  Yesterday it was awfully full....almost tight.  May need to go get a chair he can put in the shower, and a shower head with the hose.  Whatever he needs, we have a couple of medical supply places fairly close by.

Dad felt MUCH better today!  He's walking much easier, and able to do things for himself.  Eating better as well.   :dancingbanana:

Excellent news! I'm sure the immobility was as wearing on him as the extra workload was on you. How's your mother doing through this?
