Dang, this makes me want to get a lathe/mill even worse now.

Many can strip, fill, and repaint... few can create custom one off builds. Great job.

That looks like some good engineering considering the space constraints, nice job Daniel! I'm with twostep on this, do you have a spare lathe you can send my way? ;)

See, you guys are thinking about this all wrong. Instead of getting your own machinery, just send the parts & tractor to Daniel and you get back a great working tractor   :bigrofl:  :peace:

Just kidding Daniel, I know you don't have time to work on your own stuff.

Looks like factory, wished I could make stuff with that precision, hard to do with just an angle grinder and flux welder.

I think Tahoe is spot on here!  Who was it that recently walked away from Daniel's plow day with a nicely redone MTD??

Robbing some time today for myself & the HD-12 project.  Got the starter & alternator mounted.  Might get more done after lunch.

Robbed enough time to get everything hooked up to run, but short runs...no water yet, gotta get new hoses.  I didn't jack up the rear wheels to test the hydro, but the lift cylinder did cycle fine.  Radiator is mounted, but I have to get to town for some 1" hose.  I have to step up from the 1" engine hose to 1 1/4" at the radiator.  I have a couple short pieces of 1&1/4" hose.  May be able to get the hose tomorrow, and if I do, I'll likely get it all installed & get to run extended times, static test the hydro system, and just listen to her run!  :D   Was nice to hear it running in the chassis, even if just for a few seconds at a time.

Alternator charges, remote oil filter system is holding tight....everything a go so far.

Long way from a test drive though.  Steering box to be rebuilt, and it & the dash put back on, plus fuel tank to be mounted (have to build a bracket).  Right now the fuel tank is an old calf bottle.  :smilewink:

If it works, why not? Just getting some of this 'working' is a great accomplishment. Plus, you get GT time out of sneaking this in!

This is getting exciting. You'll be test riding it soon, at the rate your going.

Daniel, you know what's missing in this thread, is some "before" overall pics

of the Hog. If you have some, they'd be nice to see.

Will, I added a pic to the first post.  I have more but can't find them at the moment.
