So you made up a slotted arrangement, much like on a MF12

sleeve hitch?

I did the same on the MF8E I added the hydraulics to back in the fall.

Something has to give, or stuff breaks.

No, not slotted.  A hinged setup that swings away or pulls up against the OE lift bar.  Sort of how the MF1650 thru 1855 is.

It has a slotted lift link that went to the belly lift.  I removed it to add my pivot system as it was in the way.  I'll snap a pic tomorrow.

Will, the main reason I didn't build a slotted system was due to the loooong stroke of the cylinder.  I didn't measure the stroke, but I'd say it's a good 8".  You'll understand once you see the pics.

Here's my float mechanism.  Sure wish they had used the same valve as on the JB series, as it had a float position.  Anyways, you can see between the 2 pics how it hinges, allowing upward movement of the lift without moving the cylinder shaft.  In the last pic, the lower end back plate hits the vertical 3pt arm to prevent bending the cylinder shaft in case of something causing the implement from coming up too high.

Won ebay auction for an OE KD540 fender tail light for the HD-12.  Cost me a little over $32 delivered, but these are getting harder to find, and always bring several bucks.  Should be here in a couple or 3 days.

I swapped the numbers when I typed.  It cost me a bit over $32, not 23.

Nice to have the OE light.

My best estimate, is that it'll take about 5 minutes after

you install it, that you'll start thinking about painting. :smilewink:

Glad you were able to get it bought. I was afraid it would get too high.
