What kind of alcohol do you use in the tires?

And I know it's not 80 or 90 proof before Cat chimes in!! :rolling:

Methanol, and yes, one must be careful messing with the stuff.  I leave the container outside until ready to use, then mix with water BEFORE taking it into the shop where something might ignite it.  Gotta be careful if you have a leak too, as animals will be poisoned if they ingest it.

That sounds like a good alternative to washer fluid. (other than the leaking, and

with animals around.)

Any idea, what temp that mixture should be good for?

Around 0F(corrected).  I also replace 1/2 gallon of the water per tire with glycol antifreeze for the corrosion inhibitors being I run tubeless.  That might lower the freeze temp a bit more.  Hmmm, I might add more glycol to my mix to bring the freeze point down further.

For -20F, the ratio would be one part Methanol to 2 parts water. 50/50 gives -40F protection.

Stole time to put my tires on!  And yes, I noticed the hitch bar is twisted, so I took a big bar & twisted it straight.

She looks GREAT with those new shoes!  That little diesel sits in the engine bay beautifully as well!  When are you going to post video driving?  Or have I overlooked it?

Thanks, I like the looks better with these rims/tires than with the taller OE.  And no, I've forgot, I haven't made a video yet.  Need to do that soon.

I have no idea when or if I'll ever get around to painting it.  Not on my list of things to do at the moment.  No way I can find time this year for sure.

That's looking good, Daniel! Don't paint it, go for the rat rod look! By the way, is that the same shop I was in? Doesn't look quite the same!

Thanks Kenny, and I'm kinda liking the "rat rod" look myself.  I have some old Bush Hog headlights with faded red paint still on them, so I'll stick them on just for looks.  Same shop, just moved some stuff around and cleaner than usual.

Gonna have to paint the front rims though! Most rat rods I have seen have neat clean wheels! Otherwise, it looks great to me!

Looks good with the new tires. What make and size did you say they are?

Duro HF255's  26x12x12  Duro has been around many years.  I've had Duro ATV & some front GT tires they made.  Held up fine.

They look really close to the ones on George's HD-12.

I don't think his are Duro.
