This is my first post, so forgive my new smell.  I have picked up my 4th bolens, a 1961 ram and it has a mower deck and cuts grass great.  My question is, did these come with a factoy white leather type cover on the seat?  Because mine has one it seem quite old and the steel seat is near mint underneath.  This ram has been in a barn since 1980, but has usual wear.  The decals and tag are all in very good condition.  Ihave not seen a picture of one with the seat cover until I saw the manual in this forum.  The illistration on the front of the manual has one on it.  thanks in advance for any info.

Welcome to the forum. Brian, Wilbur and the rest of the experts will be along shortly. Glad to hear a digital file uploaded here was some help to you. I look forward to seeing some pics of your rare barn find.

Hi welcome to GTtalk.

My 1961 Ride A Matic has the same factory white leather cover on the seat.

My '61 RAM has the white seat cover, but it was already fully restored when my lovely bride bought it for me as a Christmas present.

I haven't even laid eyes on it, yet. I'm working out of state, and won't get home until 12/27. I'm excited about the tractor, but not nearly as eager to see it as I am to see my wife and kids!

Welcome to GTT

Seat Covers were sold as optional equipment back then. The ones sold in 1961 should be all white.

We would love to see some pictures of your tractor!

Like Brian stated it was a option but after market bolens did not manufacture the seat covers I have the original sales literature for the seat covers.
