But i have a question...

Does the 10 and 12hp have the same block? i took the tank off, and it has a 12hp sticker on her... could it just be a different shroud? or is it a 12hp..

So, a 100 or a 120? :bigrofl: :bigrofl:

That's how you can tell a real tractor guy, when he can identify a model by just a piece of it.  Both you and farmerall!

That's a nice tractor. It is possible that some one put a 12hp engine in there if the tag on the shroud say 12hp. I don't see why they would have pulled the engine to just swap a piece of sheet metal. The 10hp and 12hp blocks both are the same on the outside. I can think of a few ways to tell the engines apart but they aren't that easy because they both require some disassembly. The model number of the engine is cast into the block on the pto side of the engine but the pto clutch hides it. The other way would be to pull the head and measure the size of the bore. Personally if I owned the tractor and it ran good I wouldn't worry about what engine is in there until something went wrong with it.

So if i order a 12hp head gasket, it will fit a 10?

Yes a K241 and a K301(10 and 12 HP) both use the same head gasket.  The tank that is on it is definately a 10hp tank.  The 12hp tank is more oval shaped than the 10hp tank and it holds more fuel.  Hard to say what has ever been replaced as it is all rusted and faded at the same rate, nothing sticks out as being a different shade of yellow.  It has been repainted as they painted over the headlight panel decal and grill mesh.

Whats the deal with the starter button?  Is it converted to a reguler style ignition switch or is the push button just missing?  Push button should be right next to the key switch in that hole.

It has been repainted at one point, however it will be easy to get it smooth again. The rust is only surface. I guess it is a 10hp tank, but a 12hp engine?

He did psint over the front decal, but i was able to scrape the paint off whithout damaging it to much. It has been converted to a regular igniton switch, and i do want to change it back.

But where am i gonna get parts? CCspecialties is down cause of the fire...

Another good place for parts which I use for parts and decals is Madsons Service.  Good people with reasonable prices.  All the decals are available for that if you want to get all new ones.

RallyRoperGT18 , nice find for the price , The fenders and the Ag's alone are worth more than that .

I own a 100 myself and its one of my favorite cubs .

It looks like that 38" cast end deck has seen its better days , I have a couple if your looking for one .

I'm just across the river from ya .

I believe the 38 and 42 inch pin on cast end decks will fit .

I didn't know CCspecialties had a fire !!

I've bought parts from him in the past .
