And old sweat shirts suck up a surprising amount of oil.

Smells kind of bad when you put it back on though.  :smilewink:

This one was well past being wearable. There wasn't enough left to wear.

It's ready to work now. There are a few things I need to finish ( battery cover, Throttle linkage and some sort of covers/boots for the levers.

I'm not going to run the choke cable at this point, the choke setup on these things is very flimsy. I have to reach in to turn on the gas anyway, so an extra movement or two isn't much. The cheap ass throttle cable I bought fell apart after a few uses, so it's gone. I'm working on fixing/hacking the original linkage.

Be careful unloading it off the bench, are you riding it down?

I don't have enough ceiling height. I'll have to walk beside it. So long as it doesn't turn too much it should be easy.

Watch out in case a track locks up or something, you don't want it to turn and land on you.

Good luck!

Down off the table. went down the ramps in a very controlled fashion. No scary moments. I regret not moving the brake pedal to the other side earlier, it's in an awkward spot. Moves Forward at a brisk pace. Reverse is harder because the linkage is still out of whack a bit. Haven't tried to push anything with it yet, That will take time, need to move everything (boat, tractor, dirt bike, dirt bike, tractor, tractor  barbecue) to get it in the yard. Also I have to put my bike up on the table, I have a new seat coming and the clutch is stuck.

I howls while turning, more left than right. I know the transaxle needs work, I'm in the market for a Peerless 2500/Eaton 11 combo I can rebuild..

I need stronger brake levers. the 1/2" rods tend to bend too much. It turns fine, no indication of the tracks trying to jump off.

It has a nice controllable feel when it goes over center.

Small embareassment, apparently, I was too excited about hopping on and driving, I didn't notice the rippers had hooked the bottom of the ramp coming down. I dragged the ramps and table 6 feet out the door, I didn't even notice it pulling.

Once I remember how to get vids off of the camcorder, I'll upload the vid I did of it crawling down.
