There was an older gentleman that had an auction yesterday. He took over his fathers "scraping" business many years ago. I say scraping very loosely because not much was really scraped (which is a good thing). He had a stroke 5 or so years ago and decided it was time to liquidate his "inventory". He mainly dealt with all the old horse drawn implements but had tons of other things also.

I managed to get a few things of interest.

First is a Bolens LK . Kinda rough but fixable. Figured on making a butt buggy out of it 'til his next auction in the spring.

A walk behind I can't figure out what brand it is.

Has a different ingauging system on it. The whole engine slides to tighten the belt.

 A couple of sulkies.

A Midland with a sickle attachment.

A whole slug of old engines.

They hauled out 95 tons of iron so far and the auction took over 8 hours to get through, they're about half done with all the things he had at his place! So he was going to have another auction in the spring which will have more GT stuff on it. There was a pile of gt's and lt's out there but you couldn't really get a good look at what was really in it. Now I just have to wait for spring.

Added a pic I forgot.

Those little LKs make great butt buggies.  Pretty short, and maneuverable as heck.

Looking 'under the dirt' it looks like that rascal is in pretty decent shape.

If the engine is free, you might just have a danged nice little mower.

Nate, that auction looks like something I might have had trouble at.  :D  I.E. not enough money and too much to buy!

Are those Lauson engines in the last picture?

The engine is loose but from sitting outside for who knows how many years everything needs attention. The other one he has is completely original which if I get it would be the one to restore.

I know exactly what your talking about! I told myself I was only filling the trailer once.

The engine to the left has a tag that says Wells Manufacturing Corp. Fond Di Lac Wis. model 2M and the engine to the right of it is Midwest Manufacturing & Distributing Co. Sheboygan Wis. model IC.  Now I'm not for sure on if that's the engine manufacture or the piece of equipment the engines were on. Not to knowledgeable on the old Lauson engines.

The unidentified walk behind is a BlackHawk.  There is a thread about those right here on GTTalk.

VERY NICE FINDS!!!!!
