Martha pulled the last of the beets and carrots out of the garden today, they should keep us in fresh veggies for a few weeks.  Did the fall rototilling and the garden is done for 2013.  It was time, saw a few snow flurries in the air today.  Just think, next years seed catalogs will be coming in the mail before you know it.

I did the same, carrots and beets but I left the turnips in there. I just ran out of energy before I got them out.

Everything is out here except the turnips, they'll stand some cold weather.  Still have one 2-1/2' x 24' strip to turn over, maybe tomorrow.  ~~  Lowell

Down to just the kale in my garden. Kale won't die off until temps are below 10-15 degrees F consistently. It actually tastes much different after the first hard freeze, the stems lose some of their bitterness.

I dug the potatoes up last week and then tilled the garden under for the winter. Glad you got yours picked. Roger.
