Well, looks like  dropped the ball on updates for you all on my remodel.Tahoe tranny went out, I did the suburban rearends thread, county fair, son's Bronco busting ,yadda yadda yadda.

Anyway, I will continue with bathroom remodel. As of this writing, other than another coat on trim and a shelf, it's 99% complete.

I will pick up where I left off with wainscoting. I bought the 3 1/2 double ribbed stuff, painted each edge as recommended then installed. I put a piece of trim across top, then installed. Turned out killer if I say so myself.

Next on to painting, Wifey wanted a green and i had a color in mind. I never saw the "perfect" color on the swatches so I told her to pick on closest to what I wanted. Once on the wall, ended up being that "perfect" color I wanted, go figure!

I should've added closet above, but oh well.

This was the original closet that accessed from dining room. I remade it into a linen type closet and found a local place who had some cabinet doors that fit almost perfect. 4 shelves for each of us. Hard to get good pics when floor space is only 5x6'

Once painted, then on to the floor. We picked a ceramic wood looking floor tile. Once I got first row down and mark on of me side lines, this stuff was super easy to lay, Because it's 24" long, it keeps it's self straight and is tapered so I just butted it up against itself and gave us a 1/16" grout line.

This job( spreading thinset and grout)  also gave me tennis elbow I had never had before and still aggravating me 5 months later. Turned out great. I actually had to do it over 3 days just cause I had no room to work and would have had to stand on fresh laid tile.

So, here are finished pics. My wife found some idea on Pinterest, instead of paying the super high prices of the black accessories, we made them all out of just threaded pipe, fittings and falnges, i painted all semi gloss. They look great too.

One more reply before I actually need to go get something done today

Had some other thing going on during remodel too. The front steps from lower drive are big flat rock, a couple are disintegrating, Until I can replace, i had to do something for temp repair before someone breaks an ankle.

Since my mother owns the house and she is on very low fixed income, she applied last year for assistance on repairs. She was chosen and a mission group of teenagers came and scraped, painted 90% of the house for us. what a blessing. I still need to get some soffit repaired, due to safety, they kept them from doing it which is cool. Umh, no finished painted pics, dropped the ball there.

My sister has been a God send, she has painted the upstairs bedrooms and all the downstairs.

Daughter's bedroom. We ended up painting floor white, it was too rough and soft to finish, I think the originally subflooring was used upstairs as the top layer also.

I love that linen closet. That looks really nice.

I was considering buying some of those lowes unfinished cabinets. But them down to fit against the wall then boxing them in.
