first if you intend to keep that vangard running for any length of time keep the oil filter , it is there to supply clean oil to the bearings without it you WILL have premature catastrophic FAILURE the engine may last a year or because of one tiny piece of grit fry the rods and roach the motor in less than a week of playing around , second go back to the first point and think about it before you run it to long without the oil filter and cause irreversable damage and be looking for another engine . third the speedex trannys have two sizes if you don't have a s23 or 24 find the tranny for one and use it or the shift handle in the smaller s series to heavy up the input side of the tranny , tough but not indestructable , just some points to think on from someone that has several speedex's

So, what's the clutch? Sliding engine or belt tensioner? I find my Briggs in mine to be kinda "shaky" with moving mount. Not sure if that is how these are or if not tight enough on guides?  Think I have them set pretty good, but not sure what is really acceptable.

Slideing Engine and yea you got to get them tweaked right losen up the engine on the plate twish the engine to the left and tighten the bolts and that way when you engage the clutch or slide it ahead the engine will be strait or go through and make new mounts for them
