Well looks like the room for it!  Hey, run those exhaust as two stacks or make join into one BIg one!  THAT would be diff on a Speedex. Believe it or not my 96 Speedes 2032 had the Vanguard in it. Always ran nice and smooth. Weird thing tho was shut-off. They key would go off, but tractor keep running about another 10 seconds till the fuel shut-off kicked off and then it stopped. You may have some wiring issues to look at if you have those features. Maybe a wire diagram from later model like I had would help?? There are charging and Lite circuits involved with this engine also, be careful not to burn anything out hooking up wrong. Also a vacumm run fuel pump was on mine, right up by carb on top of engine.

Yes i ordered a different filter thing so i dont have to relocate it and i ll run the filter right out in frount of the engine but i think what i am going to do is run custom mahchined tube" love the looks of some good work"  and run them strait out and thread the end so i can run strait pipes or muffler i doubt ill connect them i might though well see how it work s out i bet it will sound pretty good. maybe in a bit ill do a 2 barrel converion. O and the fuel pump is my last issue cause i will use the original 8hp tank but have it under the eat so i need to find a 12volt or vacum pump somewhere

If your looking for upgrades your gonna need some money. Your looking at a high lift cam, high compression heads, bigger valves, bigger carb, advanced timing, those sort of things. Now for the 16hp vanguard I don't know how available those can be. You can have a machine shop do all that. If your pulling with a transfer sled that's one thing, but ive never pulled with a dead weight sled before so im not sure how its going to handle. Its your tractor though and you can set it up how you want I just thought id give a few suggestions  best of luck

hook up a pulse fitting, and you are good to go.  I've used this pump on several different set ups on go karts and mini bikes

Sorry I didn't check this,

I usually put it in the valve cover.  There are other ways, but it accomplishes the same.

That little fuel pump I usually use on my modified Honda 6.5HP Clone engines.  Some of them see some crazy RPMs and fuel needs.  Never been let down by them.  Get those little engines built enough and you can't gravity feed enough.
