Soooo, I keep a close eye out here in St Louis and for the life of me I have not seen anything interesting for sale around here for some time. How do you do it and I think you should keep to raiding southern Michigan and leave what little Bolens stuff is left in Our area alone

Of course we could use the rain so I guess it's ok if you come our way once in a while.

Where will you be? I'm on the west side of the burbs about 20 miles from the city.

I' m actually going to the St Louis area.  The Earthcavator is located in Grafton, IL which is just NW of St Louis.

I use www.searchtempest.com to search with.  I usually set it for about a 300 mile radius, but when I searched for "Earthcavator" I decided to search the whole country, and it showed up n the St. Louis CraigsList.

I did something similar when I found the Transporter Body.  Instead of my 'normal' 300 miles, I searcher at 400 miles, and it showed up in the Syracuse CL which is 333 miles.  If I would have searched at 300, I would have missed it completely. It was a matter of luck and timing. :D :D :D

See that guys?

That's from some varmint that's coming into MY backyard tomorrow, and picking of some 'goodies' that are only about 1.5 hrs. NE of me.

Not to mention that, but out of the goodness of my heart, and at great expense and risk to life and limb because of the whiteout blizzard I was forced to drive through, which I would have avoided if I wouldn't have stopped and spent an extra DAY sitting in NY to bring back some other goodies for him, now he's treating me like a red headed step child :boo_hoo:

I'm thinking that this is bordering on ELDER ABUSE, being as how I'm just a frail old man.  OH the HUMANITY!

Going to Grafton you'll have a nice drive up the Scenic River road along the Mississppi.  On the way back stop in at Fast Eddies in Alton for lunch, I think you'll enjoy it.

Oh yeah, as long as you are getting 3 point attachments your OK in the area.

I'll keep Fast Eddie's in mind.

We always like to find local Mom & Pop Restaurants if possible.

Seems like you get better food and service in places like that.

You were cruising about 70 miles from my area by Rochester OB..  (I'm about 15 miles S of the Thruway..)  The Thruway is ALWAYS an adventure in late Fall / Winter months between Erie and Buffalo..  They don't call it 'Lake EERIE' for nuthin!  You oughtta try Rte-81 north out of Syracuse!!  Sometimes you can't even see the end of your hood between Central Square and Pulaski!!   :wallbanging:    :(

Then I was with in that 15 miles, because I went to Cato, and got on the Thruway just a wee bit East of Syracuse.
