Debating on picking up this Bolens.  PO is asking 125.00 for it. It is not running but spins free.  Wis. engine.

Any thoughts from the Bolens folks?

Why haven't you bought it yet. The sickle bar is worth twice the price. So basically you will be getting a free tractor.

The 1050's are a great tractor too. They are one of the most popular tubeframe models and are way over built. Once you get the Wisconsin engine running it will be a great engine too. Wisconsin's are known to be very reliable engines with tons of torque and power with a long life.

I wouldn't wait to hear back from him. Whether it is running or not that is a steal with the sickle mower. I would be calling and letting him know you were on the way to pick it up.

Good deal. I hope everything goes smooth with the deal and can't wait to see more pics of the Bolens 1050 once you get it home.

Looks like it's a Haban 405 that was made for the earlier tube frames. It is belt driven.

The later 450A was PTO driven.

You should be able to get it hooked up though.

There should be a manual for the Haban 405 in our manuals section. If not, I have one and could send it to you.

At 1st I didn't even see the tractor. My eyeballs were totally focused on the Sickle-Mo :rolling:

Tractor Looks to be in decent condition overall.Looks like he might of had a parts tractor at one time.I see a spare PTO and Engine pulley.Might want to see what for other spare parts he has and offer him a little more than his asking price for the whole lot.You can never have enough Spares lol.

Even if the engine is toast that's one Sweet deal.
