Dang, this sucks, you and Kenny now.  I just hope I can make it!

I know, tell me about it. I have been looking forward to plow day since I left the farm last year, it was great fun. And a lot of people going to be there this year I would like to meet.

I think Sawdust is coming down, may see if I can hitch a ride with him for some gas $$$. I already had a couple PM's about having a tractor I can use if I came down.....great people on this forum!

Marty, come if you can.  Likely you can catch some seat time on one of my tractors as well.

Things are finally looking better stress wise for plow day.  I have 2 smaller fields finished chopped.  One is by the road frontage where we plowed last year, and much isn't as weedy as I feared.  I think bush hogging it a couple times will get most of it ready to turn.  The other field we plowed some in last year behind it isn't nearly as bad as last year, so it should plow also.  These 2 fields have about 20+ acres that we'll likely be plowing in, and the field I'm chopping is 26 acres, and bush hogging it once may be enough.  I'll be working right up till the day, but I'll have it ready!    I'm looking forward to it!

Sounds great Daniel, I think we need to mark the grass waterways this year to keep folks from plowing too far into them or thru them. I have some orange road marking spray paint I think I will bring up with me and we can mark them on Friday morning if you want to.

I think the field next to the road....If it looks good to plow once I'm done, I'll likely start the plow ground on the house side of it's waterway.  The far side is where the grass is the worst anyway.  I'll know more in a week.

Well, there has been a change of plans.............Dana cant get off of work Friday and since CJ has been dealing me FITS for the last couple of months, I am going to be coming by MYSELF.  I will still leave Friday morning and should be there about 1-2 in the afternoon.  I will probably camp out in my trailer depending on the weather and then come home Saturday night so that I can see Dana Sunday...................It is amazing what a GOOD WOMAN will do to a man's play time..........lol

After morning milking I hooked up the batwing & got 20 acres  done.  In a few days I'll hit it again, and hopefully it'll turn it into more or less dust.  If not, I'll rake & roll without tying.  I have a spot I can just kick the bales out so they won't be in the way.

Finished up the chopping at Dad's, and all chopping should be done by Wednesday.  So I should have fields ready for plow day, no problem. What with breakdowns & rain, I was beginning to worry I'd run short of time.  All is looking great!

A+ Dan

It's not gonna be perfect...nowhere near as nice as a clean weed free corn or soybean field, but it's all I got.

Not perfect just means we get to improve our plow technique. It'll be great! I, for one, have to learn how to set up my plow from scratch.

Very sad to hear Brian's Dad Jack has had a heart attack.  My prayers go out to him & his family.  This will surely mean Brian won't make it to plow day.  It just won't seem the same without you here brother, and I do mean you feel like a brother to me.  Take care of your Dad!  I was sure hoping to see him having fun again on my JB with the Wisconsin twin TJD!

Sad to hear Brian... Prayers for you and your family.

All of our tractor/vehicle problems see quite trivial after reading that...

That being said, the Kubota's low oil pressure light started coming on last week while mowing... So I picked up a pressure guage to put on it... I'm hoping that it is just the pressure sensor going out.
