Very interesting. My question for those more electrical inclined than I is, how long will these capacitors last? Secondly, he said he paid $6.00 ea for them. How much are they now? Looks doable but what is the final cost as a battery replacement. Neat video. Roger.

I wonder how long the altenator will hold up using that. Most all cars run off the battery and the alt. just keeps the battery charged while running.

I shopped for these capacitors & it would cost more than a typical battery.  :(

They cannot have much of a reserve at all.  If your engine didn't start right off, you're dead in the water!

Capacitors hate heat, gets pretty hot in there... Bet the life span is low.

I went out and tried this... It does work.

Actually, this is how I drove the van for a three days until I was sure it would pass inspection and I was good to go on buying a battery.

Yeah one hard start and that rig would be done. I can't think that the heat would be good for it either.
