:dancingbanana: GOOD NEWS   I got my stolen Huskee back today.  :dancingbanana:

Bad news is the wife says I don't get the new one I was looking at. :mad2:

Was at the local Casey's this afternoon.  Some family members of the" chief suspect" ( who is currently in jail)     of our local robberies were there.  My wife went up to one of them and "mentioned and described" the tractor and stated we wanted it back .  Of course no one knew anything about it.    But about twenty minutes later we were informed that a tractor like that was sitting in an alley over by the grain elevator.   Sure enough my tractor was sitting in the intersection of two alleys right in plain sight.  You could see where the grass was still laid down from having just pushed it there.

Just glad to have the old beast back.    Rick

Wife says we celebrate by buying her supper not a new tractor.

The wife works at the village office.  She knows everyone in the community.   Evidently she made the right person nervous. I didn't even know who she was talking to until she told me how they were connected.   Whoever had it had unsuccessfully tried to fix the electrical problem.  I don't think they ever had it running.  That might be one reason I got it back.   Rick

Great you got it back!  Now to see if it is indeed my son's mower that the police have locked in their lot.  We'll know tomorrow!

:rolling:  :rolling:

Is that how it's done Brian? You have to get them nervous in order to get past the thongs?

Just curious did the trail of laid down grass get followed back to where it started?

No.  The trail was over and through gravel and asphalt.   We are very sure of where it came from, but have no real evidence.  The local Gendarme  has emphasized that we should not pursue this any more for the sake of our well being.  He knows how desperate and illogical these people are.     Drugs and money and don't care how they get them.

Going to give the mower the once over again tonight and put her back to work tomorrow.  It was doing all the rough work at the woods and was my leaf mulching mower.   I've been abusing that mower for 16 years and it still owes me  . :D   Rick

Yes, great it is back.  Yours & my son's mower both in safe hands....now that is a GOOD thing!  Josh will need to check his over real well before dropping his insurance claim, but likely it is ok.
