Almost every family has some unsavory members. They also know so very well your work schedule, where your stuff is, and if your neighbors tend to watch things for you.
This time, no family involved. Josh still hasn't been told where/when to come identify his mower.

The really sad part is that it's true so many times. Some people just can't be honest and be hard workers to get what they want, they have to steal from those that are.
I've got some stories to tell, but we'd be here all day. I've got cousins (9) from the same family that I wouldn't trust for nothing. All but 2 or either dead from drugs or are in jail. In their case it was all in how they were raised. Another long story. From a young age, we weren't allowed to associate with them.

When ever I have had something stolen from us, I have had a feeling of being violated and it takes a bit to get over it.  So I could see how it would have an affect on your mood at Plow day.  Glad Josh may be getting his zero turn back and they caught the thief.  Now go dig that hole!  :D

Just looked up this guy's jail status in our county.  He's 49yrs old. He is currently charged with receiving stolen property in EXCESS of $10,000.00, CONVICTED FELON in possession of a hand gun, and obscuring identity of a machine valued at $500.   He'll surely get some time out of this.

Let's hope the judge isn't a bleeding heart that just slaps him on the hand.

That record makes me glad you or your son didn't come upon him when he was stealing it.  He was probably armed and sounds plenty dangerous.  I'm sure you guys can handle yourselves, but when they are cornered, those rats usually turn and show their teeth.

I hope he gets the zero turn back when court is done.

Sorry to read about the thieving in your neighborhood. I hope your son gets his mower back, and the no good sob gets jail.  or worse.  sounds like he isn't going to change is outlook on how to make a living, maybe the judge will see that and put him away for good.

That's great news, Daniel.  How much rope do you need to finish dealing with the culprit?  I've got a whole roll out in the shop I can send you.  Plenty sturdy.

Glad they may have found it. Sad news is the perp might get 20 years and be out in 5 with 'good behavior'. I think they need the full sentence!

The first people who will typically screw you over is your family!

Not saying all the time, but its normally true.

I was listening to the radio today and a company was saying that they will treat you like family. I just laughed at the thought.

Glad his tractor has been located. Don't jail the thieves just send them to Uncle Willies remedial home for wayward scum. I'll fix em.

With today"s bleeding heart judicial system, I wouldn't bet on that.

Sounds like he needs to be fired out of a cannon into a brick wall.

Good to hear the Zero has been found. Start digging the hole, and call the sheriff.

That guy sounds like a waste of skin to me too. A little corporal punishment wouldn't go wrong in cases like this, like about 30 lashes when they go in jail and another 30 when they leave just to remind them not to do it again. It'll be good when the Zero gets back home.
