Well, after 3 weeks, my son Josh may have his zero turn Cub Cadet back soon.   :dancingbanana:   Lots of things have been stolen in our county recently, and an ex-cop had his trailer stolen a while back.  He did his own digging and has been answering ads for trailers for sale.  When he went to look at one, it was HIS trailer.  When he got the Sheriff there, they found 2 or 3 zero turns inside the garage.  Going by some descriptions Josh gave them about little things he had changed on his mower, they are pretty certain it is Josh's mower.  He has to go identify it for sure.

So this rash of thefts in our area may be ended!  For now at least we can feel a little better, but ya can never let your guard down!  This stolen stuff was only about 2 miles from us!

It was stolen the night before my plow day, and only discovered the morning of plow day, so it took some of the fun out of the event for me, and completely destroyed Josh's mood!

I hope he got it back and I hope they get what they deserve. This is what makes me glad I live on a deadend street.

Curious, doe he know how they stole it? Did they start it and drive it or did they hook to it and drag it?

That is GREAT news, Daniel!!!

I have always believed that people that steal should be subject to "Street Justice." In essence... let the victim beat the crap out of the purp with a baseball bat! Or, just cut off their hands like the "old" days!

Had more than a few things stolen from me in the past. Really just wants to make me want to throttle them if I could get my hands on them.

Glad to hear a good ending to a story like this.

We had a rash of stolen off road vehicles a few years ago.

It was 2 13 year old boys!!

They had stolen

3 RZR and over a dozen quads.  They had them hid in the woods down the old rail road tracks, about 10 miles from no where.  Near an old tunnel.  No one uses the tracks anymore.  A hunter found them during deer season.  Everyone got their quads and rzrs back with no issues.  A friend of mine had his Brute force stolen in that deal and got it back.

Weird thing was they had them parked on an old track that we had made through the woods when we were kids 20 years ago.

That's real good news. I hope everything is just like your son had it. The one thing I have absolutely no tolerance for is a thief. :shoot2:

Glad it sounds like Josh is getting his mower back.
There is a family that lives over the hill from my parents, the kid was arrested for breaking in to other family member's houses and stealing. It was a group of them that were taking turns robbing family members.

Someone had a security video camera and got pics. I know the guy and he said he's never been so sick as the day he realized he couldn't trust his family.

The first people who will typically screw you over is your family!

Not saying all the time, but its normally true.

Almost every family has some unsavory members.  They also know so very well your work schedule, where your stuff is, and if your neighbors tend to watch things for you.

This time, no family involved.  Josh still hasn't been told where/when to come identify his mower.

The sheriff told me a while back he'd bury the thief if I'd dig the hole.  Time for me to get my old  IH T340 hi-lift out!

I am glad they at least caught a thief and I hope it turns out that one of the mowers is Josh's. That is good news indeed.
