Fella had a 6888 String Trimmer attachment listed on eBay.

I watched it for awhile, and then sent a message asking if he would set a BIN price.

He did, and I snatched it up.

I think I got a pretty good deal on an obscure NOS item:

Wonder why that idea didn't take off !   Just the other day I wanted to blow a few leaves off the drive way and was too lazy to drag out the ext cord so gased up the blower just for about 2 minutes of use . Having something like a trimmer or blower  that woudl be 12 volts would really come in hand . Great score !

if it did come with the 10 foot cord and the 20 foot cord, they are

worth the $25.

These were commonly sold along with the small Rear Engine riders from the mid 70's to mid 80's as optional equipment

I have seen a handful of these over the last few years but this is the first NOS one I've seen

i got one with the 1886-01 i bought. still intact except for the long cord. i thought that was a neat option
