Thurs. I'm headed to the Park Co. Covered Bridge Festival. Any one else???

(There must be a GT there somewhere! Thus, it's a GT event.)

I'm already there.I grew up on the Parke county line about five miles from Mansfield. I live about 35 miles from there now.

I suppose you don't look forward to the crowds this time of year.

We used to go during the week days and it was nice, not such big crowds. Always went to Mansfield and then the next day Bridgeton. We could get there using the back roads from where I grew up at Mom and Dad's place. Belmore usually had a lot of GOOD junk there too. Never went towards Rockville, too many out of state-ers!!

There is a place on the way from Rockville to Steam Corners that has a lot of old cars, trucks and tractors in a large building.  The second building is a flea market. Firearms, tools and such.

I think Bridgeton is my favorite place. A lot of handcrafts and not much Chinese Import crap. The atmosphere is great. If anyone gets there be sure to ask about the rebuilding of the bridge after an arsonist burnt it down.

My ex-wife's family used to set up there, another good place to hunt thru. I'm like you, Don't care for the import crap that is everywhere.
