We all like restoring old machines, I started watching this Nova epasode which is real interesting till the end, and I have to say..... by the end I had tears.

Reflecting on the projects I have done and the set backs I have had this was un fathomable.

I haven't followed the link yet but I'm going to guess it was the one where they restored the B-29? on the ice and it burnt up when they were taxiing it out to take off.

Edit - Yup. That was a terrible ending to the story.

It was a shock after all it took to get something sitting so long , electrical , mechanical ect  going and to end with something bouncing and causing a fire :(

Over 30 years ago, my boss, who I greatly admired, presented me with an "Atta Boy" award for my security work at the SUBASE NLON after the Beruit bombing. He advized me that no matter how many I get one "AW SH*T" will wipe the slate clean.

The lesson for all of us is SAFETY first. Good Luck, Rick
