Has anyone ever taken the front drive shaft out of one of these? A friend is having an issue with his and can't figure out how it comes apart.

Is it a 4 wd farm tractor ?  is the driveshaft in a "tube" going  down the belly? If so You will need to remove the axle assembly at the osilation point (front axle mount) These front axles can be a WICKED BOOGER to get apart too , good luck and BE SAFE !!

Yes, 4WD. And yes to the tube. Had a feeling that was what needed to happen. It's Aaron's Dad's tractor. Thanks!

Update!!! He got the drive shaft apart. It has splined couplings on each end and one had split apart. The cause for that is some bolts for the front axle had worked loose, let it bind! Thus breaking the coupling!
