It was cloudy this morning but showers had ended several hours earlier. I got there at 9am.SD530604.JPG SD530609.JPG

The map shows that the vendor area is just a small part of the event. There is antique earthmoving equipment in several areas. Lots of neat tractors, attachments and engines.

The MagnaTrac sold for $80 before I got there. As a consolation, later a friend said that he might still have some manuals and plans for relining the clutches on my MagnaTracs. The owner of the JD sold me a hiller/furrower for my old Troybilt($5). There is a play area for the kids.

The next three pics are of a homemade tractor. It was made from an old Crosley car and still has the 4 cylinder overhead cam aluminum engine. We talked awhile and compared Crosley car stories.SD530618.JPG SD530619.JPG SD530621.JPG

I am having too much trouble with the editing so I'm going to take a break. There are 30 more pictures to upload. Please be patient. I was there for 7 hours and didn't get to see all that I had wanted to see.

Zagray has three events per year. Spring and Fall are the best ones. There were a lot of Mass plates there. Good Luck, Rick

Next Saturday will be a small swap meet in Plainfield, CT on RT 12. Its about a mile north of Lisbon, before you overpass the RR tracks. This is my favorite show. It starts at 0800 and the best deals are gone by 0900. On Sunday will be a bigger swap at the Brooklyn, CT fairgrounds on RT 169. I hope that you get to make it to one, they are interesting. Good Luck, Rick

I am currently at a family reunion in Florida. I won't be back till Sunday. I do have a question, do these happen every year? Also, is there a good way to find out about up coming shows and meets around here? I originally grew up around Sistersville, WV and have to admit, back in the day, it was mostly done by word of mouth and local papers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I go to the Plainfield swap each April they hand out the schedule for shows in southern New England. Each year they start mid April with the Plainfield Swap and end mid October with the Plainfield Swap. This year there is a new one in Brooklyn the day after Plainfield. Yes these events are each year and if you are willing to travel up to 200 miles, there is an event almost every weekend.

I hope you have a good time at the reunion. Video record everyone that you can. Get the older ones to tell family stories. Good Luck, Rick
